GUIDE / YOUR DATA

Portability and paired phones

Create a package, check its summary and merge it with the data on the destination computer.

STEP 01

Create a transfer package

Portability prepares a copy to keep or take to another computer.

Open Portability and press “Create transfer package”.

To protect it, enable “Protect the package with a passphrase”, enter at least 8 characters and repeat them.

Wait for background progress. When finished, check the included-content summary and use “Show in folder”.

Keep the package and passphrase: opening a protected package requires the same passphrase.

Passwords and access keys are not copied. Check the summary: it reports unreachable content or collections limited to the most recent items. Do not delete originals based only on the package having been created.

STEP 02

Restore and merge memory

Restoring can add a package to memory that already exists.

Open “Restore from a package”, choose the ZIP file or enter its path on the computer.

Enter the passphrase if the package is protected and confirm.

The package is checked before import. Existing memory is preserved and duplicates are skipped.

Check the summary: added items, items already present, any parts not restored, and accounts or folders to reconnect. Use “Check integrity” to check structure and references.

Restoring does not require empty memory. External accounts must be reconnected because their credentials are not in the package.

STEP 03

Paired phones

The iPhone and Android apps are private remotes for the computer.

On the computer, open Portability: “Paired phones” is below the three transfer, restore and integrity cards.

Press “Pair phone”. In the phone app, scan the QR or enter the code, then sign in with your OmniAgents password.

The code works once and lasts 10 minutes. If it expires, close the window and prepare a new code.

To remove a phone’s access, press “Revoke” beside its name and confirm. Pairing again requires a new code.

Keep the computer on, connected and running OmniAgents. You can pair up to 10 phones. The phone does not become a second standalone memory installation.
